"Brooke Shields spoke to OK! magazine about her daughters Grier and Rowan Henchy and about helping her friend
Ellen Sassa launch her new jewelry line, Unlocked Secret. Brooke hosted a luncheon on July 13th launching this
new line at the West Hollywood restaurant, L'Orangie. Other celeb moms in attendance included Lisa Rinna, Lori
Laughlin and Peri Gilpin.
Partial proceeds from sales from the line go to Spirituality for Kids, a not-for-profit Kabbalah organization that
helps empower kids around the world. (For the record, Brooke is Catholic.)
Talking about having two kids now, Brooke said that she is guilty of not printing any photos of Grier (but she has a
ton of photos of her in her cameraphone- above she is seen showing photos off to Lisa Rinna) and only wearing a "G"
pendant while she has one that spells out Rowan's entire name. She said that while it's harder having two kids, it's
also easier because she is less freaked out about things. She said, "every time Rowan cried, I thought she was dying.
I can listen now without second-guessing myself. I trust my instincts."
Brooke said that Rowan likes having a little sister and that she said they should "save her." Brooke explained, "Rowan
likes to take things she really likes and put them away so she can play with them later. I think Rowan feels that Grier's
not that much fun yet because she's so little and wants to save her for later."
Unlocked Secret's bracelets are intricately beaded like tapestries with glass seed beads, semi-precious stones, Austrian
crystals and fastened with an intricate silver clasp. They embrace the Kabbalistic belief that there are 72 names of God
and are designed to guide the wearer to focus her intention and find fulfillment. Even if you don't go in for that kind
of stuff, they are very beautiful. The bracelets come in three styles and will run you a cool $295 each. This "Angels"
one is my favorite."
